Freda Preservation Fund

The Freda Preservation Fund is dedicated to the ongoing maintenance, restoration, and long-term stewardship of Freda, a historic sailboat that represents an important part of our region’s maritime heritage. Established to ensure that this vessel remains seaworthy, safe, and true to her original character, the fund supports essential upkeep such as hull and rigging maintenance, mechanical systems, preservation of historic materials, and periodic restoration projects. By caring for Freda responsibly, we honor the craftsmanship and history she embodies while keeping her actively engaged in educational and community programming.

As one of several designated funds within Spaulding Marine Center, the Freda Preservation Fund allows donors to directly support the care of this historic vessel while advancing our broader mission of maritime education and preservation.
